Styleash Grooming offer a wide range of different grooming styles and techniques for Cats and Dogs.

Canine Grooming

Bath & Blow Dry

Great for removal of any old undercoat and we use specialised shampoo that we will match to your dogs skin type. This also includes nail clipped and ears cleaned. Prices start from £15

Nail Clipping

Pop in anytime for a pawdicure! £5

Hand Strip

Used on wire coated breeds i.e Border Terrier – It consists of removing dead hair, usually performed 4-6 months.

Brushing

This is usually done after and in conjunction with a bath, it involves the removal of dead coat, tangles/knots with a light trim i.e. feet tidy, bottom area and feathering.

Clipping

We can do any traditional breed style or a complete clip off, please discuss on arrival.

Hand Scissor

More of a natural look, from a light tidy to a teddy bear trim/puppy cut. The best thing about hand scissoring is how flexible it is!

Shampoos and Treat Shop

We have a range of shampoos for different coat types. Tea tree for sensitive skin caused by allergies which help sooth. A variety of scented, whitening, black shine & flea shampoos. We will also use any medicated shampoo prescribed by your vet.

We also have a small shop in entrance reception, a variety of great priced treats, leads & collars, shampoos and colognes.

Puppies

We advise owners to bring their new puppies in at a early age (usually around 4 months old) to allow the young dog to get use to the sounds and smells of the parlour. This also lets your pup get used to being left in the capable hands of us groomers and to get to know and trust us which; in turn will give you dog a much more relaxed, positive experience. This will benefit your dog well into their adult life no matter where he gets groomed. I can assure you your pup will have a lot of fuss and cuddles because at the end of the day, who doesn’t love puppies!!!

De-matting

Brushing dead coat out and removing knots. The method of grooming we would use for cats depends on the amount of matting. i.e. if the cat is badly matted all over it would be kinder to clip off the fur and to allow the coat to grow back. We would then advise you to bring the cat back in regularly to be brushed through to maintain good condition.

Bathing

Bathing helps remove any dead undercoat, cats do cope with being bathed surprising well especially as cats don’t naturally like getting wet (a lot of reassurance helps!) Most cats don’t have to be bathed, if they are old we advise not to or if we don’t think they will cope with it.

We are used to a full range of temperaments and we appreciate cats aren’t the greatest fans of being groomed. With Alison being a cat owner, we are more than confident dealing with them and love having them in!

About

Alison, the owner of Styleash Grooming has been a dog and cat groomer for 21 years. She always loved working with animals and straight after finishing school she knew she wanted to pursue a career in working with cats and dogs.

Her first job was at a quarantine kennel where she achieved a variety of qualifications in animal care and welfare. It was from there that she discovered the world of grooming and soon realised that this was her passion.

She started Styleash Grooming in 2012 after working from home as a groomer for years, she has since built up a fantastic reputation.

Alison now has Sophie working for her to help with preparation. Both Alison and Sophie are cat owners and pride themselves on the caring and relaxed attitude towards their four-legged friends.

They are big believers that a groomers personality and attitude can be sensed by a dog and they are confident in their ability to deal with the full range of canine temperaments that come into our care.

Styleash Grooming has a generous size parlour which caters for all size dogs safely and securely. We also have a small shop in entrance reception, a variety off great priced treats, leads & collars, shampoos, colognes.
